The Ocean Grove Bowls Club actively participates in the Geelong Region Pennant competition, which includes both Saturday Pennant and Midweek Pennant, played on Tuesdays. The Geelong Bowls Region competition comprises a total of 24 clubs.

In the 2022-23 season, OGBC fielded teams in various divisions of each competition, with a total of 96 players participating in Midweek Pennant. They had teams in Division 1 (2 Teams), Division 3 (2 Teams), Division 4, Division 5, Division 6, and Division 7.

For Saturday Pennant, the club had 124 players representing them. They competed in Premier Division (2 Teams), Division 1, Division 3, Division 5, Division 6, Division 7, and Division 8.

The club achieved notable success in the season, with four teams securing premierships in their respective divisions. The Midweek Division 1 team emerged as champions, while the Saturday Pennant saw victories in Premier Division, Division 5, and Division 6.

OGBC has a history of success, achieving the title of State Champions in 2013, 2016, and 2017. Adding to their accomplishments, in 2023, the club's Premier Division Team emerged victorious as the best in the state, securing the State Pennant Championship.

The Pennant season kicks off in October, taking a break over the Christmas period before resuming in January. The season concludes with the finals at the end of March. Both the Saturday and Midweek competitions consist of 14 Home & Away rounds, followed by three weeks of finals in the 2023-24 season.

Midweek matches consist of 21 ends and begin at 10 am, while Saturday Pennant matches also have 21 ends and commence at 1 pm.

Ocean Grove warmly welcomes new bowlers to join and participate in the Midweek and Saturday Pennant competitions.

There are two options as far as entering, add your name to the social bowls list which is located in the bowls office or you can call the bowls office on 5255 1662 up until 10:30am on the day of play.
Entries close for social bowls days at 10:30am on the day.
