Redevelopment at Ocean Grove Bowling Club
Last updated: 26th August 2025

As we celebrate 70 years at the heart of the Bellarine, Ocean Grove Bowling Club is embracing its next chapter with a $6 million redevelopment – the most significant project in our history.
At the centre of this transformation is the construction of a state-of-the-art 16-rink undercover bowling structure, designed to create a vibrant hub for bowls, entertainment and community connection. Once complete in late August 2025, our new precinct will not only enhance the experience for members and guests but also ensure the Club remains a valuable asset for generations to come.
Already, exciting milestones have been reached. Both greens have been rebuilt and stretched, trades are hard at work on final stages of building works, and our existing clubhouse roof is being seamlessly connected to the new dome structure – completely weatherproofing the venue. Step by step, the vision is becoming reality.
Chief Executive Officer Nathan O’Neill has highlighted the Club’s commitment to delivering more than just a facility upgrade:
“We’re thrilled with the progress to date and remain committed to delivering a world-class facility in 2025.
This redevelopment represents a bright future for the Club, the community, and the region. It’s about delivering a vision that benefits not just our members, but our entire community – promoting connection, wellbeing, and social engagement.”
Beyond bowls, the redevelopment will enable the Club to attract major events, boost regional tourism, and drive economic growth across Ocean Grove and the wider Geelong area.
This is more than construction – it’s the start of an exciting new era for Ocean Grove Bowling Club, and we can’t wait to welcome you to experience it.
